Chinese domain sales : No questions, just the facts

Domain sales Made in China.

Domain sales Made in China.

In domain investing, and life in general, asking questions ensures you’re getting what you are promised.

Without asking questions, domain investors become lemmings instead of self-thinking individuals and entrepreneurs.

By all means test the waters of any venture you come across, ensuring that you don’t lose your shirt in the process. Quite often, promissory statements made by so-called market “experts” fail to disclose an underlying agenda that might be in place.

Also: Past performance is not indicative of future results.

The Chinese domain market is one such ‘Wild West’ venture. Many claim to have made small fortunes trading domain names among the Chinese domain investors, but there is little data on the fortunes that have been lost due to excessive or immature domain investments.

To follow claims blindly without further analysis of the market and while ignoring the ever-changing trends in a highly volatile market, one is playing with fire.

Unless you are a pyromaniac or a fire-fighter, such engagement is not advised.

China’s domain investors form a tightly knit community of traders that faces the challenges of a growing economy.

China has become the victim of its own growth and excessive economic consumption. People want to make lots of money with very little effort and the stock market, along with the domain market, are fields that those unfamiliar with sensible practices will be financially decimated onto.

These are the facts.

We track sales of short domains in the Chinese market, focusing primarily on two and three character .CN and .COM domains. We’ll throw in some “chips” for good measure, courtesy of BenMi.com.

Here are today’s domains:

Steve – Hand picked sales from a sea of failures. We need a few thousand of those to wave the flag of victory.
