Divyank Turakhia: OK, so I used Google Earth for latest ‘domainer trip’

Divyank Turakhia, founder and CEO of Skenzo and Directi, is known for his extensive travels around the world.

When not managing the multi-million dollar domain empire, Turakhia enjoys to hop on a plane and take off. As a licensed pilot, he enjoys the physical freedom away from digital constraints.

This time, however, Turakhia decided to play it safe.

“I know most of you believed that I really hopped on a helicopter and took a trip at 600ft from New York to Los Angeles”, said Turakhia.

“The truth is, with the gasoline prices these days, even I cannot afford such a trip. Have you seen Skenzo payouts recently?” he quipped.

Apparently, Divyank Turakhia used Google Earth to gather a series of aerial views of the trip’s landmarks, then posted them on Facebook.

“I only took off vertically at the helipad, we took a few pictures of me wearing the headset and looking out the window, then used some green screen overlays to make it look as if I really flew over the continental United States. Sorry to disappoint you!” said Turakhia.

Such digital manipulation of images isn’t shocking; however, it’s the first time that it’s used in domaining circles, at that scale. Hopefully, gasoline prices will drop and Divyank will be able to make the trip for real, soon.
