Quite often, domains are given a minimum amount of development but are essentially abandoned ‘time capsules’.
This is the case with Haus.org – which means “house” in German.
Apparently it was updated in 2004 for the last time, and yet it still displays the enigmatic images of its owners, Susan “Empress” Richter and Wilson “Lord High” Bent.
Haus.org remains unchanged since 1998!
Judging by their mugshots, they both appear to have been stuck in the 70’s and the web site also looks untouched since 1998, according to the Wayback Machine!
Surely an odd way to maintain a domain registered in 1995. It also boasts to have been created with “good old vi” – an editor found in unix systems and linux.
