Domain investing: Slowest day of the year begins

A lot of domain company employees are still drunk today.

A lot of domain company employees are still drunk today.

Today it’s the slowest day of the year, for every industry, domaining included.

Thousands of domainers and employees of domain industry companies, are expected to treat the day as a Monday after a long weekend – if not worse.

“I thought I’d have one more beer for breakfast,” said Jim H. of a large domain parking company in New England.

“Frankly speaking, I don’t give a damn about work today, won a big raffle at my church yesterday and had great sex with the wife, so I’m still in holiday mood, if you may!” exclaimed the parking company employee.

Domain forums such as DNForum and DomainState were empty as well, with NamePros being the exception. About 96.7% of its members are teenagers, who do not partake in the noble sport of alcohol consumption.

On Facebook, other than the usual exchanges of good wishes for 2013, most domainers were still reminiscing about the year that passed.

“Despite the fiscal cliff, the Mayan apocalypse, and the increase of .ORG pricing, I had a great year flipping domains,” said Marc Smith of Domain Flippers Inc. “On average, I reckon that 2012 was the best year of the past couple of years in terms of revenue. I hope to increase my average earnings from $12 to $25 per domain sold!” exclaimed Smith.

If you can’t locate domainers or companies that owe you money today, don’t worry; they are still under the influence of alcohol and substance abuse. Take a minute and remember our very own, Daryl the Drunk Domainer, RIP.
