Fadi-Chehadé is the new CEO of ICANN.
The new ICANN CEO, Fadi Chehadé takes over the ICANN leadership from outgoing CEO, Rod Beckstrom.
We had a good, joyful time with Rod Beckstrom, poking well-meant fun whenever possible, but we won’t be able to do the same with Fadi Chehadé, unfortunately. 
Here are five reasons why:
- Fadi Chehadé has Lebanese roots. So does Lori Anne Wardi, and we love her to pieces.
- The new ICANN CEO wears glasses. We would never punch a person that wears glasses.
- Fadi Chehadé is a former IBM executive. He’s not a faux “jeans and a turtleneck” technologist.
- The name “Fadi Chehadé” sounds very mysterious and intellectual, unlike that of the outgoing CEO’s.
- Fadi Chehadé deserves a chance; so will George Kirikos please cut him some slack for at least the first week in office?
Congratulations to the new CEO, Fadi Chehadé, who takes over the ICANN seat on July 1st.
