Despite the serenity status of Sundays, most people by now would know that Strauss-Kahn, head of International Monetary Fund (IMF) – was booked in NY with charges of attempted rape of a hotel maid.
Allegedly abusing his position of power – and an apparent viagra after-effect – Mr. Strauss-Kahn dragged the visiting maid into the room and forced himself onto her.
These are serious charges that Strauss-Kahn is facing and the media circus will have material for weeks.
Sex and politics have always gone hand in hand, in America and worldwide.
What’s interesting, is that the domain name Strauss-Kahn.com dropped literally days before yesterday’s event.
Sure enough, a domain entrepreneur registered this accurate, dashed version of the financier’s last name and it’s currently parked at Parked.com with an amusing picture in its template 😀
We can’t predict if the list of registrations will even get close to those related to Osama bin Laden but the new motto seems to be that if something makes the news, it’s registrable as a dot com.
In the case of Strauss-Kahn the new registrations include .org and .info as well.

Nice find, Lucius ! This one will make you famous in the French blogosphere 🙂
LOL I simply reported the obvious but right now there is a crazy amount of traffic from France 😀
Lucius, that’s mailnly because Korben has retweeted the news. He’s the author of http://www.korben.info, which is probably one of the top 5 tech/geek blogs in France. 24,056 avid followers can’t hurt either 😀
