Horse: The other red meat

Ah, those Europeans sure love their meat spicy; the recent discovery of horse meat in the British food chain has expanded to other countries.

The latest news: IKEA meatballs in various European country stores, were found to contain equine meat. At least, they didn’t contain horse shit! 😀

Countries where horse meat was found in those delicious meatballs that IKEA serves with jam preserves, include Britain, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, Slovakia, Hungary, France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Cyprus and Ireland.

No horse meat was found at IKEA stores in the US; no tests were performed for gator, armadillo or raccoon meat, however.

Meanwhile, some chap with a weird sense of humor is using the domain name TheOtherRedMeat.com to sell a couple of horses – not for meat, thank goodness.

Yee-haw!

i’m outraged. they probably had to cut down on the pink slime just to accommodate the horse meat.

RaTHeaD – As you can see, the little pony picture above shows where ‘pink slime’ comes from.
