NASA.gov – For sale via Sedo.
Facing financial difficulties due to the recent government shutdown, NASA – the National Aeronautics and Space Administration – has announced the placement of its numerous and valuable assets, including the domain name NASA.gov, up for sale.
The assets include any orbiting satellites, launch pads, space shuttle turbines and other NASA memorabilia currently exhibited in Florida, Texas and California.
The upcoming auction of NASA.gov and its assets comes as no surprise, as Sedo is eager to forge new relationships, now that GoDaddy has secured Afternic.
“The Obama administration is making it very hard for us to continue working on space exploration programs, such as determining whether water on Mars is at 7 H20 molecules per cubic foot or higher,” said NASA spokesperson Maggie Woggs.
“Rest assured, that while we are not actively monitoring the solar system for incoming meteorites currently, we will let you know if a big one is heading our way during the next 90 minutes,” added Woggs.
It is expected that the auction of NASA.gov will reach at least $100,000,000 dollars, contributing actively to the elimination of the US National Debt.
Concerns that the Chinese might bid on and acquire the US Space Administration’s assets and secrets, were downplayed by the White House, which is currently operating with personnel outsourced from China, India and the Philippines.
