It seems that the suits at the Manhattan cubicles have switched focus – from Greece, to Japan.
The reason: Japanese electronics manufacturer Olympus and the cooking of its books for more than 20 years.
The so-called “Olympus scandal” caused its president to resign.
Apparently once again, a US corporation assisted Olympus with cooking the books, using exorbitant fees as payments to acquire companies in order to hide huge losses from investors.
Sounds familiar?
Olympus shares plummeted 29% after its announcement on Tuesday, and they have now lost 70% of their value since revelations of a $687 million fee surfaced last month.
Those that have a beef with both the Manhattan speculators and Olympus might consider registering OlympusScandal.com – while it’s still available, according to DomainTools.com
Meanwhile, it seems that Olympus cameras will be dead cheap at Christmas time! 😀
