Francois Carrillo, proud operator of Domaining.com has dropped the domain Flipping.co from his inventory of web sites and domain portals.
Integrating different niche markets under the CAX.com umbrella, the French entrepreneur decided to let Flipping.co drop a while back.
And that’s a smart decision, as Flippa.com – the Australian marketplace for buying and selling domains and web sites – recently threatened to sue a Canadian domainer that declared his intention to use a “Flip” domain.

So Flippa, which regularly lists domains and sites that are in clear breach of trademarks, has the gall to try going after other sites using “flip”? I doubt that they’d get very far with that unless the site was trying to “pass off”. The concept of “flipping” predates them 🙂
