Richard Lau’s Twitter account got compromised a few days ago, by a hacker who attempted to sell it.
The premium, ultra-short @LAU account was obtained by Richard Lau in May, to be used for his family.

A hacker managed to gain access to the Twitter account, reset the password, and changed the email address it linked to.
He then proceeded to message other prominent “Lau” accounts, such as that of Pete Lau and Dom Lau, with the intent to sell it.
What a conniving bastard!
Luckily, Richard Lau managed to regain control of the account, after he presented evidence to Twitter support that he is the legitimate owner.
To avoid such troublesome adventures in the future, enabling two-factor authentication on Twitter is a must.
This way, passwords cannot be reset without a confirmation via SMS, and logging in cannot occur without punching in the number that arrives to your phone.
