Domain investor, George Verdugo, acquired the domain name ILoveChicago.com just days before the baseball final.
“I closed on the deal right before the Chicago Cubs made it to the World Series final, it was a lucky strike,” said George Verdugo.
ILoveChicago.com was acquired from Namefind LLC, the GoDaddy domain portfolio managers; the negotiated price was locked in place and the exchange completed quickly.
The premium domain will be developed into a city brand embracing Chicago culture and activities, along with hospitality services.
