Fidel Castro is dead : Domains about Cuba to skyrocket in value

Fidel Castro is dead.

Fidel Castro is finally dead.

Fidel Castro is dead, and not a day too soon.

For nearly 50 years, the late Cuban dictator ruled his country with a mix of Marxism, Communism and outright iron-fisted military command.

Tens of thousands of Cubans died in poverty, or while seeking freedom by escaping poverty and even torture, to the US.

He will not be missed, although it will take 9 days of public charades to end his blood-stained legacy upon burial.

This year, US travel to Cuba was re-instated and the US embassy in Havana opened last year, after 54 years.

As Fidel’s brother, Raul, gives in to Cuban and international pressure for a change of regime, domain names about Cuba will skyrocket in value.

Travel to Cuba from the US is expected to become a massive source of income for the impoverished nation, and foreign investments to pour in. Cuba deserves to become a full democracy, honoring its long, rich history.

Domain investor, George Verdugo, surely holds a strong Cuban domain in his hands: VivaCuba.com.

Holders of such domains as FidelCastro.com, FidelIsDead.com and FidelCastroIsDead.com will finally be able to justify their investments.

In an ironic twist, the domain Fidel.com expired and dropped 10 days ago, and was acquired by a new party. It was originally registered in 1999.

Viva Cuba! Fidel está muerto!

Will be interesting to see how this news affects interest and value of our exclusive aged Cuban Cigar domains collection.

Wait a minute, fidel.com was dropped 10 days before his death? Where’s that tinfoil hat…

  3. DomainGang says:

Robert – The domain’s expiration date was September 10th. It went through the expiration cycle, dropped, and was re-registered on November 15th. Looks like SnapNames caught it.

    Life is stranger than fiction.

I guess it was a good idea to pick up cubainvesting.com and cubaportal.com.
