Domainers eager to snatch images from the Google search, will find it more difficult to do so.
Google has announced that they are stopping providing a direct link to “view image” when searching for images.
“Today we’re launching some changes on Google Images to help connect users and useful websites. This will include removing the View Image button. The Visit button remains, so users can see images in the context of the webpages they’re on.”
What used to be a link to a high resolution image, is now gone; Google has reached an agreement with Getty Images to lessen potential copyright violations.
It was never cool or legal to lift and reuse images from Google search, but students and many others do so regardless. The latest change by Google will make it more difficult, for sure.

It’s about time they started to implement something to slow it down at least. Going to be hard to stop them for good, but it’s a start. Now the thousands/millions of self-proclaimed designers ripping and trying to resell other peoples copyright protected work will have to go through an extra step to do. There really needs to be more protection out there.
