Dismissed : Sahar Sarid update in #Mugshots .com case

Last month, domain investor, Sahar Sarid, maintained his non-involvement in the Mugshots.com case; a June 14th meeting in front of a judge at the Broward County court resulted in the case’s dismissal.

At least, that’s what we can tell from the public documents released after that hearing, which mention the following about Sahar Sarid:

  • Disposition dismissed (6/14/2018)
  • CRS : Dismissed (6/14/2018)

As we aren’t lawyers, that’s what US Legal states on “disposition dismissed:”

“A disposition of dismissal is governed by federal and state laws, which vary by state, but generally is a method for a judge to dismiss an legally inadequate indictment, prior to verdict, finding, or plea, in the “interests of public justice”.”

On the subject of “CRS : Dismissed,” this legal resource at Avvo.com would indicate the case was dropped at the Superior Court.

Meanwhile, the Mugshots.com web site has been down once again, for the past 2 days, according to IsItDownRightNow.com.

This may only reference the dismissal of the “fugitive warrant” as a result of a) surety bond being posted; and, b) counsel for the defense entering their “appearance” (confirming legal representation).

    YMMV.

Jeff – It clearly states: ” Case Status: Disposition Entered” BTW the link is broken as it’s not sticky.

    Per Quora, at https://www.quora.com/In-a-court-case-what-does-disposition-entered-mean

“It means among other things that the court procedure, whatever it was, is over and the outcome has been reduced to writing and filed away in the court registry. That will conclude the matter as far as that court is concerned. Not even the judge could reopen it to render a different, or modified decision as the judge/court are now ‘functus’. IE they have no discretion to do anything further. Any changes now would have to be made by appeal to a higher court. “
