The Domain King announced the sale of his premium numeric domain, 6500.com, late last month.
News of the $120,000 dollar sale was shared by Rick Schwartz, who said in part:
“The majority of my domains have been sold by brokers that I didn’t hire but contacted me when they had a client!“
The sale was brokered by George Hong, founder of China based domain brokerage, Guta.com, who said:
Rick is one of few pioneers who invested in numeric domains.
Rick’s optimism about numeric domains is one of the reasons that I still hold on to some short number .com domains I bought ten years ago. Thank you, @DomainKing! It is a great honor to broker this deal.
The transaction was finalized on Wednesday, according to WHOIS changes recorded by DomainTools.
Rick Schwartz has 14 more NNNN .com domains to sell, a genre he has been investing in for many years now.
