Indiana-based HomeNation.com LLC, operators of the ultra-premium domain name, eHome.com, have filed for the registration of the matching mark, eHOME.COM, with the USPTO.
The intent to use application was filed for the following products/services:
- Manufactured housing, namely, mobile homes; Modular non-metal homes; Modular non-metal homes built with a preassembled modular component that contains the majority of the utilities
- Providing a website featuring information on modular homes; Providing a website featuring information in the field of finance for modular and mobile homes and real estate; Providing a website featuring blogs in the fields of modular and mobile homes and real estate
The domain name eHome.com was registered in 1998 and it has been resolving to an Afternic lander. In the past, the domain eHome.com was in the possession of exp Realty of California, that retains the plural version, eHomes.com.
Given the domain’s status and trademark application, it’s almost certain that eHome.com was sold recently.
HomeNation.com LLC helps consumer select and build mobile, modular or prefab homes on the lot of land.
Applying for the registration of matching marks is an ongoing trend among owners of generic domain names, following the decision by SCOTUS on the Booking.com trademark application.
Since then, dozens of generic domain names have been applied to be registered as trademarks, inclusive of the TLD.
As of January 5th, 2021, BOOKING.COM is a registered trademark with the USPTO.
