The domain Perl.com was returned to its legitimate owners late last week, moving back to Network Solutions.
Brian D. Foy, operator of Perl.com, confirmed that the domain was returned:
“Network Solutions got Perl.com back. Your WHOIS records should show that.”
Indeed, Perl.com was returned to Network Solutions on Friday, February 5th.
As we reported a week ago, several other domains were also stolen by the same thief with a locale in Moldova, and some have been returned.
According to our research these domains are back at Network Solutions and their respective owners’ accounts:
- Piracy.com – Restored to previous registrant
- FinPlan.com – Restored to previous registrant
- AcneTreatment.com – Restored to previous registrant
- ExpressAir.com – Restored to previous registrant
These domains, along with Perl.com, were moved away from Network Solutions and to Chinese domain registrar, BizCN, and then to KeySystems. The German registrar reversed the domain transfers that were deemed unlawful.
There is no indication of a transfer reversal for the following domain names which remain stolen, as far as we are concerned:
- Patterns.com
- Spear.com
- Assign.com
- SolarPlanet.com
- CompareMortgage.com
- MoneyClub.com
- ExpoTravel.com
- Mamas.com
