The three letter .com domain, QIR.com, that was reported stolen early in October, has now been recovered.
QIR.com is now in the possession of its legitimate owner, according to an update we received.
Dynadot and GoDaddy, the gaining and losing registrars respectively, coordinated the recovery effort for this LLL .com.
Many thanks to Joe Styler of GoDaddy for pushing through the appropriate channels to assist with the recovery of QIR.com.
As a reminder, everyone is advised to turn on two-factor authentication at their domain registrar accounts, if they provide such an option.
Instances of domain theft have multiplied in recent years, along with interest in short domain names.
If your domain was stolen from your registrar account, contact us – we’d love to help.
Don’t fall for the lasted “Dynadot Abuse” suspension notice scam! Well done all for recovering this one.
Hire – That phishing scam has started again and it’s dependent on the domain’s registrar.
