WIPO alerts the public about fraudulent domain name disputes

WIPO has become aware that domain name registrants are receiving fraudulent emails falsely claiming to originate from WIPO, notifying recipients of alleged domain name disputes.

These messages attempt to mimic the legitimate Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) process and may contain harmful links or attachments.

Please be advised: all authentic WIPO domain name cases are publicly listed by case number on WIPO’s official website; if a case does not appear there, it does not exist.

If you have received a suspicious email, do not click on any links in it and inform the WIPO via email or phone (Switzerland: +41 22 338 8247).
