Domainfest - it's the best time of your domainer life!
It’s with great sadness that we’ve decided not to attend Domainfest Santa Monica – the great industry event that opens its gates on February 1st.
While a lot of our readers will be disappointed – especially those on the West coast – there are several reasons why we chose not to attend at this time.
Here are the top 10 reasons why DomainGang won’t be going to Domainfest:
- Santa Monica is on an earthquake zone. Small quakes scare the living daylights out of us!
- We asked for a certain type of kosher shrimp canapes and it won’t be available – unlike at TRAFFIC.
- To be properly dressed in California, our Florida garderobe would have to be totally refreshed.
- There are too many big domainers in California, although all of them together don’t equal one Rick Schwartz. So we feel intimidated.
- We heard rumors that Hank Alvarez might be attending Domainfest, incognito.
- We don’t want to like California too much and begin hating the hot and humid weather of Florida.
- Because Elliot Silver is going and that’d be way too much fun; we’d hyperventilate!
- Because Owen Frager isn’t going and that would not be way too much fun; we’d hyperventilate!
- Because Shane Cultra is going and this family guy is a real domain playa!
- We donated all our spending money to the Australian fund for the flood victims.
But seriously, if you can go and are contemplating it the last minute, just do it. Domainfest is a guaranteed success each and every time. Just watch out for Frank Schilling after he had one rum cake too many! 😀
i can’t go because billions and billion of us will be traveling to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit.
I’ll be eating rabbits all week long on that week.

No kosher shrimp – what a disappointment. Will they at least have kosher pork?
Jeff – As BullS said it’s the Year of the Rabbit. I think there will be plenty of Playboy Bunnies to compensate.

Sprinkle some of that new bacon salt on the shrimp. Its kosher and it’s delicious and it even comes in a lube format and that is also kosher. I bet you didn’t know that.
I can’t go this year 2012 because I will be celebrating the year of the Dragon and my dragon lady won’t let me.
