Steve Jobs passed away a year today, and the world lost one of its greatest technological visionaries.
A year later, Apple continues to go from strength to strength; the recent launch of iPhone 5 lacked the heartfelt presentation by the company founder, but Steve Jobs was there in spirit.
Apple is very protective of its marks, and as such it wants to preserve the name and legacy of Steve Jobs.
In a legal maneuver yesterday, Apple is suing to get control of the domain name Steve.Jobs.
“It’s the ultimate domain hack for Steve’s name and it will allow us to preserve his name and passion for technology and the world,” said the Apple CEO, Tim Cook.
“Today’s anniversary marks the passing of a true monolith of a man, and we will ensure his legacy lives on,” added Cook.
