An Italian domainer lost a handful of domain names to unknown hackers, according to a post at DNForum.
These included the obvious Apple trademark, iPad.in and a 2-character .biz set consisting of 7x.biz, b8.biz, 8w.biz, 8b.biz and 8t.biz.
Not the best of ‘gems’, however, they could be offered for sale to some unsuspected buyer.
Most of them went missing mysteriously from the owner’s GoDaddy account and were moved to Click Registrar.
The owner has filed a dispute with GoDaddy over these stolen domains, hoping for their recovery.
As with most domain thefts, email phishing scams are the #1 method of losing one’s domains.
