As #DNForum moves to #eNom, its registered trademarks have expired

DNForum.com – under new ownership.

Recently sold for the 4th time, DNforum.com is under ownership.

Formed in 2001, the oldest domain forum’s domain has just been moved to a different domain registrar, eNom, under WHOIS privacy.

The new owners are expected to step in sometime next week, hopefully making an announcement and tackling issues with the current layout and user accounts.

In the meantime, DNForum trademarks registered with the USPTO have expired:

  • DNFORUM.COM expired in January, and to file for an extension for Declaration of Use, an additional fee must be paid before six months pass.
  • Similarly, DNFORUM.COM THE PLACE TO TALK DOMAINS expired two days ago; once again, to file for an extension for Declaration of Use, an additional fee must be paid.

It’s not clear if the new owners want to make use of these marks, that were both issued to Ontario-based Domain Consulting Group, Inc., presumably belonging to former owner, Adam Dicker.

A recent poll on the sale of DNForum shows a variety of guesses on the price paid for the domain; the sale is shielded by an NDA.
