Amazon HQ2 will be Amazon’s second headquarters in North America. The company founded by Jeff Bezos, plans to invest over $5 billion in construction and grow its second headquarters to include as many as 50,000 high-paying jobs.
Several cities have applied for the much coveted “honor” and associated growth, via a public process.
Applications closed at midnight last night, and one of the cities was Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance put together a video presentation to stake its claim to the second Amazon Headquarters.
In the video, seen below, they are using the new gTLD domain HQ2.Vegas, a smart move! The dot .Vegas registry is surely proud of almost 18,000 dot .Vegas domains registered so far.
While the web site at HQ2.Vegas is password-protected for now, we hope that it will eventually open up to the public.
