Turkish cellphone giant, Turkcell, has apparently acquired the domain BIP.com in the aftermarket.
Its previous registrant from Korea appears to have sold the domain last week, most likely on Sedo. The current WHOIS information reflects a change in DNS servers:
NS1.TURKCELL.COM.TR
NS2.TURKCELL.COM.TR
As is the norm these days due to the GDPR, the remaining WHOIS information is redacted.
So what will Turkcell do with BIP.com, at this point?
They already offer a service stylized as BiP according to this page.
Here what BiP is about:
“100% free communication and life platform, developed by Turkish engineers. BiP is your roadmate, much more than texting. You are waiting for you to discover services in daily life from sports to sports, from weather to exchange rates.”
If BIP.com were sold via the Sedo marketplace, we will soon find out about its price, unless it’s covered by an NDA. For a LLL .com of this quality, we’d expect six figures USD.
