Forty-five years ago the Apollo 11 mission made it to the moon.
This historic achievement of the human race has been the driving force of many of today’s scientists, engineers, astronauts and commoners.
Buzz Aldrin, the 2nd man to walk on the moon after Neil Armstrong, is enjoying life and social media on the Internet, at the ripe age of 84.
Using Twitter, Buzz Aldrin often posts tidbits from his early years, the Apollo missions and the trip to the moon.
Buzz Aldrin also claims to have been the first one to take a “space selfie” in 1966. While SpaceSelfie.com was used for a Kickstarter project regarding a space telescope, FirstSpaceSelfie.com is still available.
As a side-note, Buzz Aldrin apparently owns BuzzAldrin.com since around 2005; the 1998 domain registration was initially made to a space historian, Robert Pearlman, according to historic WHOIS data from DomainTools.
