China‘s the 2nd largest economy in the world, and it’s a huge provider of consumer goods for Americans.
For the holiday season, Chinese manufacturers create almost 80% of all consumer electronics sold in the United States.
China is also a big producer of counterfeit goods, including fashion items such as handbags.
In a shocking statement, Alibaba founder Jack Ma, noted that these counterfeit goods made in China are often of better quality than the brands they copy!
Definitely a controversial claim, as Alibaba has been trying to eradicate counterfeit goods from its massive marketplace. According to sources, the SEC is also investigating certain company practices by the company.
Domain investors in China continue to spend money on domain names, and while new gTLDs are often speculated upon, there is no indication that these are registered for any purpose other than to use as monetary vessels.
We keep track of domains sold in China, for the .CN, .COM and .NET TLDs, and as long as they are between 2 to 4 characters in length you’ll find them here.
