If we are to believe the announcement by Paragon Space Development Corporation, the privately held company aims to send humans to Mars by 2018.
And not just any random humans: a couple – in other words, a male and a female astronaut – that will embark on a year-long journey to the Red Planet.
I don’t know about you, but if I were on a space mission to Mars, risking to lose my life during the course of the two years it’d take to return to earth, it’d have to be one damn hot female astronaut! 😀

Seems like a bit more competition to land humans on the red planet in the not to distant future. Dutch entrepreneur Bas Lansdorp wiki… Mars_One has been promising a one way manned landing combined with a reality TV show by 2022. 😎
