Desktop.com gearing up for 2020 launch, announces new hire

The premium domain name Desktop.com changed hands in December, after selling at Sedo for an undisclosed amount.

Rolf Larsen, chairman and founder of DNS Global and the dot .Global Registry, is definitely excited about the upcoming service that launches later this year.

What is Desktop.com going to be? According to the official description of the upcoming services, Desktop.com is a cross platform environment for web apps due to launch in the summer, and a new hire has been announced.

Lars Lima, domain broker and co-owner of DNForum, has taken on the role of Project Manager for Desktop.com. Lima has extensive experience in marketing management, contract negotiation, advertising, and sales.

Desktop.com has rolled out a new logo with a stylized “o” that is remarkably rectangular. The company has also acquired the domain hack, Desk.top, that serves as a URL forwarder to Desktop.com.

We can’t wait for the launch!
