#Domainer locked up : Frisco nutjob not a #GoDaddy employee

A San Francisco nutjob is in jail after threatening to shoot GoDaddy employees in Sunnyvale, California.

According to a police report, Michael Depaulo was arrested in the City of Richmond after he made threats to kill people at GoDaddy in Sunnyvale with a firearm.

On December 2, 2019, Depaulo called GoDaddy and stated he was minutes away from walking into the Sunnyvale GoDaddy location and shooting people with a shotgun at random. Sunnyvale DPS patrol officers and detectives immediately began an investigation and developed information that led detectives to a residence in the City of Richmond.

Michael Depaulo was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for one count of 422 PC – Criminal Threats.

A GoDaddy spokesperson confirmed that Depaulo is neither a current, or a previous GoDaddy employee:

“GoDaddy takes the safety of our employees extremely seriously and we are working with local law enforcement on this incident,” said Dan Race from GoDaddy.

Could this apparent domainer be angry about a 60 day domain lock? We are not sure, but for now, he’s found himself locked up in the county jail.
