Jeff Sass of dot .CLUB announced the immediate launch of Domainer Soccer Club, to coincide with the FIFA World Cup 2018 fever.
The .CLUB executive shared the following information on the new venture:
“For a full month, we are going to be very busy with soccer, or football as Euros call it. Instead of eating snacks in front of the tv watching FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia, why not join the action?
We are launching the Domainer Soccer Club, operating on a .CLUB domain of course, and participation is free.”
So far, several popular domainers have indicated their willingness to put on sweat-repelling shorts and shoes with taps, kicking a ball around a green pasture with funny white line marks:
- Rick Schwartz – Goalkeeper / team captain
- Drew Rosener – Midfielder / player acquisitions
- Elliot Silver – Striker, right flank / generic player
- John Berryhill – Defense / legal services and GDPR compliance
- Ron Jackson – Coach / team news reporter
- Shane Cultra – Sweeper / grass watering
- Frank Schilling – Stopper / team domain services
- Jeff Sass – Left back / marketing promos
- Kate Buckley – Forward / team broker
- Konstantinos Zournas – Libero / team scout
Jeff Sass added that more players are needed, for a total of 8 teams – all while the new team’s kits are being designed:
“There are so many benefits from playing soccer that I can’t believe we haven’t had a tournament of our own in over 20 years. Now it’s the time to do it, with .CLUB fully supporting athleticism and quality domain names, of course.”
