If we had released this yesterday, April 1st, nobody would have taken us seriously.
But let me assure you, we are very serious in everything we do, even if it’s humorous.
DomainGang is pleased to announce the beta launch of DomainGang Chat – a “ChatRoulette” style audiovideo conferencing for domainers.
So comb your hair, remove any green salad stuck between your teeth and turn your camera on, put your headset on – then visit the DomainGang Chat.
I suspect, just like chatroullete.com, this site will be video cams of a bunch of dicks.
Adam – If you mean that some domainers can be dicks, then yes 😀
I tried but no one was on 🙁
Cool chat. Keep it up, I’d love to chat with more domainers once this picks up.
Friday night – but we did get to chat after all 😀
I bet you wonder how I knew you were doing this?
LOL Shane – It was obvious, too many ChatRoulette articles lately? 😀
I think the Idea is good, but (heres the bomb) it will die quickly because the domainer are out making money rather then on cam in a chatroom and forums are better for domainer to talk on because you can have links leading to your site and a place for people to sell and buy domains. If you look at the NamePros chatroom over the past year it has become dead from the regulars coming and going, the only days there are more then 10 people in there are the days that Namepros offers Auctions. Now this does not mean to trash the idea, but why would people join your chat room to talk 1 on 1 to other domainers other then mass spam and trash talking?
Because it’s fun! 😀 Business is far too serious, so we need alternative ways of communication. Plus it gives people the opportunity to come out of their shell and talk to other domainers vis-a-vis. The only other way to do that, is by attending a conference. This is free!
Had a good time on this. Thanks for providing it.
I know there is alot of grey areas in domaining but it it really that complicated that you have to declare whether you are a male or a female in a video chat room. What does that say about domainers, that they are great at distinguishing between good and bad domains but that they are unable to tell the differece between a man and a woman? Maybe provide a link to some of chef patricks videos as he often has men and women in them at the same time. That might help.
Confused – you do sound confused. The male/female is a search feature, not a declaration of your gender once you connect with someone.
