Domaining Friday : A great story about the wrong Frank Schilling!

Frank Schilling is most likely the top domain industry persona, followed by a large number of domain investors.

After years of quietly managing his domain portfolio and staying in the sidelines, Frank Schilling openly shared his business acumen and strategy; he opened Domain Name Sales to the public in 2012, and Uniregistry last year.

It’s not a secret that we have set up a Google alert for ‘Frank Schilling‘, and this morning we received one for a story published at the Chicago Tribune.

Apparently, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schilling set up a non-profit foundation and donated to it, providing 30 acres of land hosting the Shrine of Christ’s Passion.

Roughly 150,000 to 200,000 people visit the shrine annually, and on a day such as Good Friday, ten thousand faithfuls cross its gates.

Except, this is not about the domainer investor, Frank Schilling, but someone else who shares the same name.

Still, it’s a heart-warming story, which can be read in its entirety here. You can also visit the official web site of The Shrine of Christ’s Passion.

Have a wonderful Good Friday!
