In what appears to be an attempt to create an online trend over the recent episode of an assault against the Pope, an apparently drunk Briton has registered a domain related to the event.
PushThePope.com already features a web page driven by joomla, with the Pope’s photo and the space-filling Latin text “Lorem ipsum” as its only content.
Laid out in stark white and red papal colors, the web site appears to be under development.
Iain Chantler of Edinburgh, Scotland had already consumed six pints of Guinness at his local pub, when the incident of the Pope’s assault by a mentally unstable woman was broadcast on the telly.
“I was with my mates, Graham and Tobby and we were about to watch Dr. Who on the telly at the pub, all while having some beers, when they showed the Pope falling down after some woman pushed him. That’s when I thought, whoah nelly, I can do some business with this catchy domain – off I went to register PushThePope.com”, said Iain still visibly intoxicated two days later.
Quite often, unfortunate events that involve assaults on politicians or other public persons invoke the entrepreneurial spirit of domainers who are looking for a quick money turnaround on their $10 investment.

push the pope might actually be in the urban dictionary next to bashing the bishop 🙂
LOL that’s actually quite creative.
Well done to the guy who registered it, looks promising 😀
