Parler, a controversial right-wing app mimicking Twitter was ostracized by Google, Apple, and Amazon, effectively shutting down its service.
The domain Parler.com moved to the open arms of Epik, a domain registrar with a long history of embracing domains of web sites supporting fringe content.
Regardless of bias, Epik is popular among domain investors.
Parler.com and its app remain down for almost two weeks, being denied hosting on the Amazon AWS platform. Parler has filed a lawsuit against Amazon for that very reason. Amazon has provided a response.
In an interview to MyNorthwest, Epik representative, Robert Davis, stated that they have no plans to provide Parler with web or app hosting currently, but that might change in the future:
Davis said they are not in talks with Parler about hosting the site on a larger scale, and have no plans to do so.
“We’ve had no connection, no correlation, nothing to do with Parler, no discussions,” he said. “There was no relationship there whatsoever.”
