Volkswagen was formed in 1937, in Nazi Germany, and the group owns and manages a very famous mark in the automotive industry.
Despite all this history, a not-so-smart individual from Canada registered the domain Volkswagen.company in July.
It took a couple of months for Volkswagen to find out, and they filed a UDRP at the WIPO, asking for the domain to be transferred.
Richard W. Page, sole panelist, delivered perhaps the easiest decision ever, particularly since the trademark squatter failed to respond.
If only all UDRP cases were as clear-cut as this one; the domain was thus ordered to be transferred to the Complainant.
