Paris, France – La Liberation
Earlier today, we received the shocking news of Domaining.com being put up for sale, in a private communication with Francois.
Typically, we keep such communication private until a sale is final, however we decided to publish the information it delivers, as a lot of domainers are potential buyers for the popular domain news aggregator.
“Allo, yes – it’s official, bien sur. We, the company of Cybertonic Incorporated, we put top tier domain at sale for top tier price. Positive, positive, the price is at least $3 million dollar, why we don’t want euro is my decision to encourage domainers use the greenback dollar. Domaining.com is very popular, especially after DomainGator.com was bought a few month ago. So, we, the company, are looking for a buyer, a rich buyer for Domaining.com. Top domain, top domain.”
We, at DomainGang.com strive to produce accurate information, so we asked Francois whether his recent consumption of two bottles of Chateau Lafite 1968 had anything to do with the decision to put the domain on sale. Francois responded that this is incorrect; the wine was from 1969 (first bottle) and 1970 (second bottle).
“No, no no, no… You think we drunk at Paris too much but as a child I learned the benefits of red wine with meals. It’s, how do you say, family tradition in France to have wine with meal. You Americans don’t say it’s socially acceptable, yes? So we ate meal with wine and then I thought, mon dieu – if I sell Domaining.com for trois millions dollar, I can buy more wine and foie gras. So I did. “
When asked whether the potential buyer would have to consume mass quantities of wine prior to coughing up $3 Big Ones for the domain, Francois said he’d welcome offers from Arab sheiks, oilmen, monarchs and the occasional dot com millionaire who invested in mutual funds.
At DomainGang.com we’d like to assure you that we won’t be putting up the domain for sale any time soon.

Francois should up the price to $30 million or even $300 million.
The US Department Of The Treasury is printing greenbacks as fast as they can refill the ink.
As the value of the US dollar continues declining in value $3 million won’t actually be
worth that much.
I said dollars? Oops, sorry that’s the red wine, Euros for sure!
Good luck Francois!
Perhaps I should cash in my poutine money to give this opportunity a go. As a Canadian I am willing to negotiate over a case of beer.
You think Francois will take Canadian dollars? Maybe from Montreal 😀
I think Francois should trade Domaining.com for DomainGang.com.
Okay, just a big wish. 😀
Tout simplement exceptionnel 🙂
In vino veritas 😀
$3 Million for this name?
I hope the “crack cocaine” went good with the wine?
You’d be lucky to get out of the 5 figure range…(yes that’s 10,000-99,999, and even that is a stretch).
What would that $3 Million represent? Maybe 50-100 years earnings? Much more than the current 3-5 years revenue multiple valuations that are being used nowdays.

I have it direct from the horses mouth that he is selling as he has had some bad news of a medical persuasion. I’m told he recently went for a brain scan but they couldn’t find anything and now he has to cough up $3 million for further tests to see if he has a personality.
If I buy it …. do I get a free bowl of soup and a Hawaii vacation for two ???
$3 offer here !
Latest update ! ICANN are paying all of Francois’s medical fees ! incl. The astronomical costs of his physchiatric assessment alone run into the hundreds of thousands.
Cynics may claim that ICANN (The ultra rich and infamous non profit organisation) have way too much cash on their grubby little hands so they are using this as the perfect vehicle to launder some of their spare billions.
NEWS FLASH ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~+++++++++++>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Francois has been found not only to not have a brain but no personality either. I will update you re the shrinks (Professor Cybertronicsnoodle) final assessment as soon as it comes in ~ but early indicators suggest delusions of grandeur and an ego state tantamount to an ego maniac with an inferiority complex.
Selling domaining.com for three million dollars would be equal to winning the lottery. That is why people try to sell domains for one million dollars on Ebay. You only have to find one person, or should I say one sucker. I love domaining.com as I always find links to domaining stories of interest to me. Estibot .com who always inflates domain prices says it is worth four thousand three hundred dollars. Domaining.com’s own excellent domain evaluation tool comes up with a value of twenty two thousand. I just don’t get it!
I sincerely wish Francois success in selling the domain.
I hope he can create a bidding war for Domaining.
If it sells, you owe Acro a case of Ripple.

Arlen, I was taking your comments with validity until you blew it and quoted Estibot as a valid source for domain valuation. Just for you, maybe Francois will accept your top offer of $ 4,000.
DomainGang.com is pure madness!
I don’t think he’ll have much luck selling the name for $3 million, but at least that price isn’t nearly as nuts as almost every single name listed for $100K (or a LOT more) on eBay. Time will tell if Francois is mad… but there is no doubt about one thing, DomainGang.com is pure madness!
You may not know this but Domaining.com has to run on a Cray super-computer, so Francois has to recoup those hosting bills from MIT labs somehow.
DomainGang.com is pure madness!
