Two weeks ago, we wrote about how on the day of Whitney Houston’s death, the domain name BobbiKristina.com was registered by some obscure adult entertainer and was placed for sale on AfterMarket.com.
It was subsequently removed from the marketplace by force, but it seems that now GoDaddy has stepped in and repossessed the domain!
According to top WHOIS tool, DomainTools, the info shows the following:
Go Daddy, Repossessed by repossesseddomain@godaddy.com
14455 N Hayden Rd
Suite 219
Scottsdale, AZ 85260
United States
We’re not sure why or how this is done, especially since the .net, .org, .info, .biz and .us are also registered at GoDaddy. Apparently, GoDaddy will repossess domains when there is fraudulent activity involved.
Maybe you forgot about the article you commented on that I wrote back in December? http://www.dotweekly.com/repossessed-by-go-daddy/
Aka, the domain was likely paid for with a stolen credit card, charge back was done etc.
it is hard to get a hold of anyone at godaddy. they are so secretive. i registered a domain for 99 cents with a coupon code i saw on onmyminddailycom the domain name was a very nice one and I was planning to use it – there is no way i would chargeback 99 cents – that would be silly and frankly, it did not happen – so i tried to log in to my godaddy account and nothing – i then saw the whois said: repossessed by godaddy – in the past godaddy has also been known for deleting doma
