It wasn’t hard for Kostas Papadopouloyiannakis to get a great deal for his domain; the Greek domainer from Kalamata, has been dabbling in domains since 2004, when Olympics were hosted in their birthplace, Greece.
“With Olympics in Greece, everyone collected something, others pins or stamps and photos, I domains,” said Kostas Papadopouloyiannakis, typing on the computer.
His long term holding of domains paid off handsomely, as he recently sold a domain for 7 figs.
“It was easy, no problem. I ask friend have figs? He say, yes, how many? I say, ok, 7 figs is good. So I sold domain, and ate nice fruit!” adds Kostas Papadopouloyiannakis, smiling.
Greek figs are renowned for their quality, fresh or sun-dried.
Below is a photo of the 7 figs that Kostas Papadopouloyiannakis sold the domain for; we are certain they were quite yummy.
Looks like Kostas got a better deal than Jack did with the beans!
Do you cook figs or eat them raw?
Ha. Looks like Kostas also got a better deal than Bill McClure who reportedly agreed to pay 6 figs for a .club
What was either man thinking?
fizz – Raw (fresh) figs are the best, but you can dry them in the sun like most fruit.
Alberto – I agree 100%.
Love it!
What is the domain name?
