A few days ago we covered the gallant battle between two uber-domainers, Frank Schilling and Ammar Kubba, over the ownership of the domain name, ALTR.com
The friendly feud ended with Frank Schilling of Name Administration grabbing the domain at Namejet for the price of a box of Davidoff cigars.
The domain is currently displaying a layout not like any other template that Name Administration uses. It’s a template that’s apparently generated by Fabulous – the nameservers for ALTR.com show exactly that.
So the answer is no, Name Administration is not launching new mass developed layouts.
But what could be happening?
Is Frank Schilling fed up with the conversion of his own layouts and he’s trying out the monetization of the Fabulous templates?
Could it be that the domain ALTR.com – that is now using WHOIS protection – was returned by force to its previous owner after the auction ended?
A lot of unanswered questions; the recent announcement that Frank Schilling is selling his collection of expensive watches is not an indication of a healthy economy, after all.
