The number of registered attendees for NamesCon 2016 officially brand it as the de facto domain conference; more than 1,175 domainers showed up in Las Vegas for the event launch.
On Sunday, Jothan Frakes extended a warm welcome to the newcomers, in a room that was packed.
We witnessed Jothan’s amazement, when he asked the crowd whether this was their first time at NamesCon.
Two thirds of the room raised their hands, and that explained why so many people look unfamiliar to us!
That’s obviously a great thing for the domain industry.
NamesCon opens its gates today, and everyone is looking forward to it – even those of us with a bruised Achilles thanks to a game of soccer among domainers.
