Let’s be adult about it: Fap.xxx gets sold by the ICM Registry

XXX Domains - the battle continues.

.XXX Domains are of adult nature.

The ICM Registry, operators of the .XXX domain namespace, have announced the sale of the domain name Fap.xxx to Pimproll, who also operate Porn.xxx.

The sales price will be kept confidential.

If you’re not familiar with the term “fap”, here’s a link about its definition.

According to the press release by the ICM Registry:

PimpRoll expand their .XXX portfolio

Influential Adult Content Site Operator, PimpRoll, Announce the Acquisition of Fap.xxx

Palm Beach Gardens FL, September 17, 2013 – ICM Registry, the operator for the .XXX top level domain (TLD) for online adult entertainment, announced today that they have sold another premium domain to PimpRoll, the operator of the coveted Porn.xxx domain.

The entertainment giant has been so impressed with the exceptional SEO performance of Porn.xxx that a decision was easily made to increase their presence in the .XXX arena with yet another premium domain.

“We have been very impressed with the growth and progress of Porn.xxx, so much so that acquiring another top .XXX domain was an easy choice for us” said Phil Bradbury, Vice President.

Adult entertainment attorney Corey D. Silverstein represents PimpRoll and negotiated the terms of the purchase of Fap.xxx. “PimpRoll’s experience with ICM and Porn.xxx has been very positive, and I’m glad that PimpRoll and ICM have continued to grow their relationship with the purchase of Fap.xxx” Silverstein said.

In December 2011, ICM Registry launched .XXX as the world’s only Internet TLD dedicated to adult entertainment. In doing so, ICM Registry adopted industry-leading best practices to create a safe place for visitors to interact with online adult entertainment. These practices include daily Malware scanning of all .XXX sites.

“Once again, we are delighted that PimpRoll has been able to make an informed decision based on fact and performance; we are looking forward to seeing their .XXX sites take very high global rankings with amazing content” said Steve Winyard, Vice President of ICM Registry.

PimpRoll’s decision to participate in the .XXX TLD comes shortly after ICANN announced their upcoming rollout of a slew of new generic TLDs. By securing Porn.xxx, Pimproll will also automatically qualify for Porn.sex, Porn.porn and Porn.adult under ICM’s “Grandfathering” program if ICM Registry succeeds in gaining those new TLDs from ICANN.

Fap.xxx will now be searchable through ICM Registry’s adult content only search engine, Search.xxx. Search.xxx offers a clean user interface and intuitive keyword searches. Search.xxx, which uses the same technology as usual mainstream search engines but is for adult content only, allows you to set your language preference and your sexual orientation preference. Recent enhancements allow users to search specifically for videos, still images, cam sites, stores, and more, making Search.xxx an experience totally focused on delivering exactly the adult entertainment users want: quickly, discreetly and easily.
