The domain name MagicWood.com was sold in a DropCatch auction today, after going through an inevitable deletion cycle.
The auction closed at $1,313 dollars today, with the winner being DropCatch user Will4DC:
The domain MagicWood.com was being held at Uniregistrar, Frank Schilling‘s own registrar before GoDaddy acquired Uniregistry.
Registered in 2006, the domain was a hand-registration by no other than Frank Schilling. The domain became part of the NameFind portfolio of GoDaddy-owned domains in 2020, as GoDaddy acquired Frank Schilling’s personal portfolio of approximately 200,000 domains.
It seems that in 2021 it was sold to a person in Russia but the domain remained with GoDaddy Online Services Cayman Islands Ltd. despite emails of transitioning all accounts to GoDaddy’s own portal.
That Registrar is no longer offering domain registrations and management of domains and it’s quite possible that the domain MagicWood.com dropped due to lack of receiving renewal notification emails.
