Bob Parsons is a “golf nut” and owns a three letter .com domain, PXG.com.
The GoDaddy founder started Parsons Xtreme Golf (PXG) in September of 2014, out of his desire “to make the world’s best golf equipment.”
That’s a bold statement right there, but Bob is a former Marine and never surrenders, so the PXG golf clubs are considered top notch among budding “golf nuts,” and they are priced accordingly.
PXG.com is listed as sold for $25,000 dollars at NameBio, although the date of February 8, 2015 might be a date of sales release by Uniregistry; the domain has been in use by Bob Parsons’ golfing venture since September, 2014.
The selling price is extraordinarily low for pure “Chinese premium” letters, but in line with the LLL domain market at the time. Let’s just say that Bob might have negotiated hard.
Whether one sees PXG.com as purely a domain asset or as a brick and mortar business on golf equipment, PXG bears Bob Parsons’ seal of approval, and that’s enough for many to buy his products.
PXG is also a registered trademark, and Bob Parsons has applied for many more classes, ranging from golf clubs to assorted equipment for the sport:
“Golf equipment, namely, golf clubs, golf bags, head covers for golf clubs, golf club grips, golf club shafts, golf balls, golf gloves, golf tees, golf ball markers, divot repair tools, and golf bag covers”

Charl Schwartzel finished 3rd in the Masters this weekend using PXG gear. Ryan Moore (9th) and Pat Perez (18th) were also top-20 finishers using the PXG equipment, so it certainly looks as if Bob has backed another winner.
Paul – That’s some great stats indeed!
