Poll : Are you going to attend the #domainer meetup in #Asheville, NC?

Rick Schwartz’s return as a domain conference organizer is official.

The TRAFFIC conference founder ran the show for a decade before – temporarily – retiring in person. TRAFFIC ended in 2014.

Now, the Domain King is openly rolling out a new domainer meetup in the formerly sleepy town of Asheville, North Carolina. The city has witnessed great growth during the past decade, expanding its reach beyond hipsters, beer enthusiasts and lovebirds looking for a nest in the Appalachian mountains.

The location is a bit unconventional, off the busy airports and in a state famous for its arts and crafts. Domain investors already living in North Carolina would probably go for Charlotte or Raleigh, Greensboro or Wilmington.

The extended city of Asheville hosts the biggest privately owned real estate in the US, the Biltmore. With an area of 175,856 square feet, the Biltmore is a great tourist attraction as well.

The real question is, will the Asheville domainer meetup provide enough non-tourist substance to be seen as a sustainable destination for domain investors?

Rick Schwartz’s experience in the field is well-documented, and he has a vision going back at least two decades.
