A fifth grader in Lexington, Kentucky was allegedly bullied and was physically assaulted by his schoolmates, after making references to gTLDs.
According to a police report filed by his mother, ten year old Teejay M. had his books thrown into the school latrine, and his face was pushed against the cafeteria wall – all because he is “different.”
The scrawny yet polite fifth grader, suffered various scratches as a result of the scuffle that ensued. He also lost a tooth.
“My Daddy got the best domains, gTLDs, better than the dot com crap their dads have, then someone kicked me from behind and stole my books!” exclaimed Teejay, his mother by his side.
“They called my Daddy a f[..]got! My Daddy showed me how to make money with domains, nobody makes fun of my Daddy!” added Teejay, while his mother hugged him.
Teachers at the Dixie Rotary Elementary School will hold a special meeting with parents today Friday, to ensure that no such instances of bullying occur ever again.
“We will discipline and promptly expel from our School any trouble-makers,” said the principal, Taisha Jackson. “Such acts of mindless violence do not belong at schools, certainly not at Dixie Rotary Elementary!” exclaimed Jackson, pointing to a variety of school awards and trophies mounted on her office wall.
The parents of Teejay M. are also seeking amendments to the teaching material, that would include coverage of recent enhancements of the Internet name space and gTLD domains.
