Sergei Putanov arrested for alleged .communism gTLD fraud

Russian domainer and billionaire, Sergei Putanov

Russian billionaire and domain investor, Sergei Putanov has raised many an eyebrow with his support of the .communism gTLD.

The Russian domainer often makes headlines in the world news, such as when he invested in the creation of Dubai Florida, a tourist paradise.

In recent weeks, after the ICANN gathering to approve the launching of gTLDs, there was increased interest in the whereabouts of Sergei Putanov and his .communism initiative.

It turns out that Sergei Putanov was briefly detained by the Ukrainian police, last week, on unrelated charges.

“So I go hotel and ask for two fresh prostitute to celebrate domain launch gTLD with ICANN, having man fun ok? And Ukraine police jump bed say, I break law. No true, I break legs people not keep business word with me, ok?”

It appears that all charges against the Russian entrepreneur were dropped as soon as he clarified that the two Ukrainian six foot blondes in bed with him were models on a business performance for Russian Chat Roulette.

All charges were then dropped.

“In future, allegations against Mr. Putanov will be dealt with a strong response”, said his lawyer and niece Valeria Putanova from Minsk, Russia.

“Mr. Sergei Putanov is a serious entrepreneur with a solid history of investment in precious metals, oil and domain properties”, she added.

The future of .communism thus appears to be open, as ICANN has no problem with accepting donations in rubles.
