SpamHaus, a global keeper of domain and IP violations, also maintains a list of abusive behavior that originates from a large variety of gTLDs and TLDs.
How does SpamHaus measure that?
The abusive behavior of domain TLDs is calculated as the ratio of abusive domains that exist in a given TLD, to its total number of active domains. In other words, what percentage of existing registrations are abusive.
For many months now, dot .Science retains the crown of the most abusive TLD, and the list for February 2017 is no exception; with a Badness Index of 10.07 as 92.4% of all referenced domains are “bad.”
Thus, for February 2017, the top three are dot .Science, dot .Stream and dot .Party – it seems as if spammers have made it a science streaming out spam and they are having a party. 😀
