TRC.com: SAV domain capture now priced at over half a million dollars!

Two weeks ago, the premium three letter domain TRC.com was captured by domain registrar and auctioneer, SAV.com.

The week-long SAV auction closed at an even $100,000 dollars and now we can (almost) see who is the registrant.

TRC.com resolves to a page primarily in Chinese that contains the asking price: $650,000 dollars.

According to the lander, TRC.com is listed for sale on the Chinese marketplace 4.CN that acts as the escrow.

The price is fixed and if you want to acquire TRC.com at 6.5 times the cost, there’s your chance!

What I don’t understand is why some registrar like drop catch can snatched premium domains whereas we can’t
What special tools do they have that we can’t have??
    Sounds scammy

All expired domains should go to the food bank and let everyone bid the domain and the profit goes to the food bank

    Good idea..
    Win win
So if dropcatch or snap names got the premium domains,so how much they paid for it?!

If a house goes on sale, the public gets to see it and we get to bid… equal playing field ,so why not domains???
